STEEL-BEAM PRODUCTION LINE
I-beam (W-flange) is the most widely structural element used in the construction industry as beams and columns available in carbon steel grade ASTM in a variety of sizes due to its efficiency to resist shearing forces and bending moments. For torsion dominated problems, box beams and other types of stiff sections perform better. I-beams are composed by the flanges (horizontal) and the web (vertical). They are widely used. There are two standard I-beam forms: a) Rolled I-beam, formed by hot rolling, cold rolling or extrusion (depending on material). b) Plate girder, formed by welding plates.
In the last decades magnificent architectural designs made in steel structure are increasing in popularity pushing demand of I-beam prefabricated to maximize costs and building time. In answer, automated welding processing lines appeared to facilitate manufacturing of customized sizes and quantities.
A complete line consists of: CNC cutting machine, I-beam assembling machine, transporting roller, 90°-movable overturn support, 45º welding tilting support, Cantilever SAW welding machine, steel conveyor, 180º movable overturn support, H beam straightening machine.
A steel-beam production line can be described by:
- Flange and web dimensions and thicknesses.
- Degree of automation.

- Suitable for symmetric, asymmetric, eccentric, tapered I-beam.
- Automatically complete positioning, clamping, welding and other tasks.
- Welding center designed for maximizing resources used.
- Processes designed ergonomically and for safety work.
- Mechanic or hydraulic straightening to correct deformation in flanges due to weld
- Metallic fences and electric interlocker to ensure safe operation
- Key mechanical/electrical components from world class suppliers, upon customer's request.
- English/Spanish/Portuguese/Polish/Russian/Chinese complete user's manual.
