Because of its excellent fracture toughness, the higher bending strength and rigidity, and its wonderful polishing performance, the zirconia ceramics is being accepted gradually by the market, and is replacing the alumina ceramics progressively in multiple application fields of structural ceramics. At present, it has already been widely applied to products such as the moulds (wire-drawing die and drawn tube die), the cutters, the valve seats, the plunger pistons, the packing rings, the ball valves, etc.
