By heating the alloy in the furnace and then making the mixture into ingots, the ingots are ground into fine powder and pressed into the mold, and the powder mold is sintered into dense blocks (sintering is the process of compacting the material and forming solid blocks by heating or pressurization without melting it to the liquefaction point.) Bonded neodymium magnets combine neodymium alloy powder with polymer adhesive. These components are pressed or extruded to form more complex shapes and magnetized powders than the commonly available shapes and magnetized powders in sintered magnets.
